yogitoes was founded in 2003 with the creation of Skidless®—an invention that solved the yogi’s dilemma of slipping on their mat while practicing yoga. Founder Susan Nichols’ patented the Skidless technology. Since then, yogitoes has created a line of innovative sustainable yoga tools.
yogitoes’ ethos is deeply rooted in sustainable practices; all yoga tools are made with a high composition of recycled materials, including recycled plastic bottles, recycled rubber, repurposed rice husk, and recycled EVA foam. yogitoes’ signature rSkidless yoga towel is made with 50 percent recycled polyester, using eight recycled bottles for each towel.
To date, yogitoes has converted 3.5 million recycled plastic bottles into their towel line, that would have ended up in oceans and landfills.
All dyes used by yogitoes are heavy metal, azo and lead free, which is better for the health of factory workers, consumers and the environment. Packaging is minimalistic and made out of recycled or FSC certified paper. yogitoes’ ongoing commitment to mindful, socially conscious practices elevates all aspects of operations at yogitoes.
